Girl power!

Tripping on Mindy Gledhill – heard her music?  A voice I can’t ever dislike and then the lyrics.  I can so imagine my daughter singing and feeling this – she loves it (and corrects me when I sing the wrong lyrics!).

Another awesome song is All About Your Heart.

Her bio is a lovely read, a tale of a family that prized music and travel, humour and hard work.  It is so heartwarming to read these stories of things going right.  The bullies existed, I am sure there were normal hitches in childhood, who knows maybe more that she’s been reticent about.

Clear that a perfectly happy life is not required to make perfect and happy songs?

This one is for my kids….when my daughter was really, really little, we’d say to her ‘reach for the stars’ and the little tyke in her shirt and diaper would reach her two hands as high as she could.  I hope they reach for the stars and I do hope they don’t forget who they are when they do!  They aren’t listening to Mindy though – they are growing up way too fast!

Have a wonderful almost weekend!  It is almost that time.  Already!  Life sure is an hourglass!

Your daughter is so adorable…I love the word ‘tyke’ can I borrow it for R?

Happy weekend to you too..because tomorrow thankfully is a Friday and we are almost there eh?

  2. Beautiful songs!! Music can say so much, so beautifully!!! Our one song was ‘catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, save it for a rainy day’ and another I always sang with my kids was, ‘Take good care of yourself, you belong to me’.
